In the spirit of my Dad's zest for life and playfulness, I've continued the tradition of decorating the house for the holidays. Tim always enjoyed the light shows -- some of which remain year-round. Since I can't invite anyone over to see the decorations, here's a Flickr link so I can spread some holiday cheer:

I really appreciate all the cards, emails, texts and calls over the past few days. I'm just getting used to not talking with Dad every morning and evening. But, I think Dad's independence and continued enjoyment of life has . . .

Michael Preston of Greenfield passed away on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2020. Mike (as almost everyone knew him) celebrated his 100th birthday on May 18, 2020. Until the last few weeks of his life, he lived independently and managed his own cooking, cleaning and bills.

Today Dad is 100 years old!
He's doing well, and is so appreciative of all the cards and notes he's gotten. Nearly 200 so far! Not to mention several boxes of sweets and other goodies. Since I can't travel to Milwaukee to be with him, I'm also appreciative that others have helped Dad celebrate this day.
